The Iranian new year celebration or Nowruz is a ceremony exaclty on the time of vernal equinox for begining of Spring. This makes Nowruz among the very few national astronomy-related celebrations in the world, which is orginated perhaps about 3000 years ago. Here in this panorama, taken the last day of year 1386 in Tajrish bazaar of northern Tehran, people rush to buy the last minute needs before the celebration.
