Towards the Galactic Center - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
The Milky Way and passing clouds appear in the dark night sky of La Silla Observatory, southern Atacama Desert, Chile. Stars of constellations Scorpius and Sagittarius are in the view. The bright star Antares, at the Scorpion's heart, is on the upper left and Lagoon Nebula (M8) is near the center left, next to the Large Sagittarius Star Cloud (the brighter region of the Milky Way). The cloud is almost pointed toward the galactic center.
