Night sky above the historic castle in the hilltop town of Monsaraz in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Due to its geographic position Monsaraz have been occupied by different peoples since the pre-historical record, as one of the oldest Portuguese settlements. In the sky winter stars and the Milky Way are visble along the western horizon. The brightest point is planet Jupiter.
