Galactic Center - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
The bright central bulge of the Milky Way in constellations Scorpius and Sagittarius rises over La Palma, Canary Islands. Bright star Antares, the Scorpion's heart, is on the right, next to extended dust bands in the galaxy. The large red emission nebula on top is Sharpless 2-27, a very large nebula centered around star Zeta Ophiuchi, difficult to photograph due to its size and brightness, its apparent size is over twenty Moon diameters wide.
