The night sky above volcanoes near the town of San Pedro de Atacama in northern Chile, next to the Bolivia border. Along the southern Milky Way are bright stars Alpha and Beta Centauri, the Southern Cross (Crux) and the Coalsack dark nebula, and Carina Nebula.
