Tajinaste Milky Way - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
The Milky Way rises over a full blooming Tajinaste flower (an icon of the Canary Islands) from the top of La Palma, Spain. Clouds appear in the Caldera de la Taburiente. The 10-km wide volcanic crater (with walls tower 2000m over the caldera floor) dominates the northern part of the island. The caldera originated some 2 million years ago with a massive shield volcano.
