Tetons and Airglow   -  By: Babak A. Tafreshi

The night sky over the Grand Teton national Park and the Snake River in Wyoming, USA. The Teton Range is a part of the Rocky Mountains. The Grand Teton, the tallest mountain in the range, is 13,775 feet (4,199 m) high. A very strong and rare airglow activity appears in the sky. Airglow is the natural emission from the Earth upper atmosphere in green and red-yellow bands and wave like forms that appear faint and colorless to human eyes under dark skies. In the sky Saturn is the bright object on the left, Arcturus is at top and Coma Star Cluster appear in the middle.
