From the Roque de los Muchachos - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
The Milky Way in the constellation Sagittarius is photographed from Roque de los Muchachos (The Rock of the Boys in English), the 2423-meter peak of La Palma, Canary Islands. Lower in the evening sky is planet Venus, the second brightest object in the night sky after the moon. Further to the right is bright star Arcturus and the constellation Bootes and at the far right the Big Dipper (part of the Ursa Major) appear over a photographer.
