Jupiter and its Galilean satellites as seen through a small telescope. The moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto) are the four dots, two either side of the planet. Jupiter has a diameter of around 142,000 kilometers, while the four moons seen here orbit Jupiter at distances ranging from 420,000 kilometers to 1.8 million kilometers.
