The Milky Way winter stars appear over Half Dome, a giant granite dome left from glacier movement in the Yosemite National Park, California. The brightest point in the sky is planet Jupiter. The Pleiades Star Cluster is above and the prominent figure of Orion, the Hunter, is rising above the Sierra Nevada mountains.
