Winter Stars above Bavarian Alps - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
Over a frozen snow-covered lake at the border of Germany and Austria, bright winter stars shine above the Bavarian Alps. Sirius, the brightest star in the entire night sky, is near the middle. Prominent figure of the constellation Orion is at right and bright star Procyon is at left, with the two bright star of Gemini, the Twins, at top and above the fast moving clouds. The Bavarian Alps are part of the Alps located in the Bavaria state of Germany and in parts of Austria. The region is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in Central Europe.
