Evening twilight fades to darkness and planet Jupiter in the constellation Taurus, the Bull, appears over the Kitt Peak Observatory and lights of Tucson, some 70 km away. The McMath–Pierce solar telescope appears in the foreground. in the background sky two prominent star clusters in Taurus are visible: the Pleiades or the Seven Sisters (top) and the V-like Hyades that forms the Bull's face (to the right of Jupiter).
