Mono Lake Star Colors - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
A time exposure image has captured the rotation of the sky (caused by the Earth rotation) in a moonlit night of Mono Lake in California, famous for its stunning exposed tufa towers; limestone formed by the precipitation of carbonate minerals in water. Stars appear in various colors due to their surface temperatures. The blue-white are the hottest and those at orange-red are cooler.
