In pre-dawn sky of a late winter night, the band of the summer Milky Way with prominent stars of the Summer Triangle rise above sand dunes of Maranjab desert, near the Great Salt Lake in central Iran. The constellation Scorpius with its bright red giant star, Antares, is visible at the right end, Altair is rising in the middle, Vega (the brightest of the Summer Triangle) is at top, and Deneb is to the left.
