Stars of the Fall - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
In this autumn sky view the stars of constellations Cassiopeia and Andromeda rise above Mount Damavand, one of the highest live volcanoes on the planet at top altitude of 5610 meters. Located in the Alborz mountain range of Iran the volcano has been a legendary mountain in Persian culture. Notable in this image are two famous deep sky objects, the Double Star Cluster (just above the peak) and the Andromeda galaxy (at right).
