Watching the full moon rising over the ruins of Persepolis was just like a dream come true. The majesty of the moon and moving clouds set a background for the pillars of Apadana palace. You had to be there to feel the action. The night that I photographed this splendor, a partial lunar eclipse had to occur, but at the very beginning of the show, thick clouds covered all the sky.
