Rays Above Atacama and Andes - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
The break of dawn above Atacama Desert, one of the driest places on Earth, with the backdrop of high Andes volcanoes near San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. These rays, which stream through gaps in clouds at the horizon are diverging columns of sunlit air separated by darker regions which are shadowed by clouds.
