The geyser is known as one of the most predictable natural landmarks in the world, erupting in intervals of between 60 and 110 minutes.The eruption of this strong cone geyser can shoot 14000–32000 liters of boiling water to a height of 30–55 meters. The Old Faithful has been erupting at least since the late 1800s.
