The Dark Sky Program in the United States National Parks has been a great success in preserving the last remaining starry skies over magnificent natural landscape across the country. The two large neighboring parks in Wyoming, the Grand Teton and Yellowstone, are great examples. Being far from major cities and having very few street light or towns in the area the night sky stuns visitors to this famous bear country. For this panorama taken in early July I was waiting for the rising last quarter moon in midnight to illuminate the mountains while the Galaxy roars above them. The Teton Range is a part of the Rocky Mountains. The Grand Teton, the tallest mountain in the range, is about 4200 meters (13,775 ft) high. 
Traveled across the planet in search of great nightscapes this was one of the most elegant scenes I have witnessed, a night in paradise, for me and for the giant Grizzly bears! Being a nightscape photographer you often find yourself off the main stream of normal lifestyle. You visit places when nobody is there, entering national parks when everyone are leaving, beginning your work under stars and often in bone freezing outdoor temperature, when others are laid on a sofa watching TV, enjoying parties, or preparing to sleep. But this abnormality is not a pain when it is your true passion, when the night sky is your second home. The night sky made me a nature lover and a global traveler but some of the most joyful moments of my career were when I see my images impressing someone, inspiring a kid, and changing others perspective to our world.
