Mawenzi and Large Magellanic Cloud - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
Kilimanjaro by moonlight. Mawenzi, the smaller peak of Kilimanjaor, reaches 5,149 m (16,893 ft) high and its name means the moon in Swahili. The view is photographed in a moonlit night of Amboseli National Park, southern Kenya. The Milky Way's neighboring satellite galaxy, the Large Magellanic Clouds appear in the sky.
