Sunrise on Mount Damavand, a spectacular volcano rising from the Alborz Mountain Range in Iran. Reaching 5610 meters it is the highest peak in the Middle East, and only 70km away from Tehran. Damavand has been a legendary and sacred mountain in the Persian culture. Being around the world in many lands this is still my favorite mountain on the planet, obviously a nostalgic connection.
