127 Hours - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
The sun shines on the bottom of the bizarre natural wonder of Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf. The valley, named Chahkouh (well mountain), is so narrow that its giant walls (reaching 50 meters high) are only some meters apart. It is tectonic but curved by water and air over the time. The image title is from the 2010 drama film 127 Hours where most of the story happens in such a valley in Utah.
