Space Station, Meteors, and Planets - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
A lot of things is going on in this 30 seconds image. The young Moon is setting the early evening sky over the western horizon of Dizin peak (3400 m) in Alborz Mountains of Iran. The dazzling planet Venus is just above it and between the two a bright meteor streaks the sky. Align the ecliptic tow other planets, Mars and Saturn, are visible in the view toward the upper right, where the International Space Station is crossing the sky. Its a rare occasion to have all these in a short moment.
