Bright stars of constellations Orion and Canis Major (Big Dog), including Sirius the brightest star of the night sky in the center, trail in the dark sky of Mesr village in the central desert of Iran. At lower right note the bright trail of the southern star Canopus which crossed the sky only few degrees above the horizon.
