Inverted Tulip - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
Crown Imperial flowers, of the genus Fritillaria, grow wild on the Zagros Mountains in Kuhrang area, a residency of Bakhtiari tribe in southwest Iran. The flowers are locally known as Inverted or Upsidedown tulips, and named Mary’s tears (Ashkeh Maryam) in the local Luri language.
