Mount Ararat at Night - By: Babak A. Tafreshi
The night sky above Mount Ararat as seen from the border of Armenia with Turkey. The setting moon shines over the double volcano (5137 m and 3896 m high). The mountain has been revered by the Armenians as their spiritual home for a long time. It is also the place where some believe the Noah's Ark has landed. Notable in the foreground is Khor Virap historic monastery, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Armenia because of its location near Mount Ararat.
